After the arduous climb from Peace River to Judah, now four miles behind them, the returning half of a GSL Turn on Northern Alberta Railways’ Peace River sub. is on essentially level prairie and crossing a minor tributary of the Heart River at mileage 37.7 near the hamlet of Marie Reine on Sunday 1980-09-28, less than four months before becoming part of Canadian National Railway. Note the block of Pine Point ore cars behind SD38-2s 402, 403 and 404, a major traffic source from CN’s Great Slave Lake line at Roma Jct.
