TH&B steam generator 500 is seen at Chatham Street alongside 52. Originally built by ALCO in 1929 as the tender of TH&B 4-6-4 number 502, it would be rebuilt into a steam generator unit in 1955 after the locomotive's retirement, serving in this capacity until being sold in 1986 to the Green Mountain Railroad in Vermont, and in 2002, was transferred to Steamtown, where it is preserved as New York Central X5313.
