Fifty-nine years separate the origins of the depot and the SD38-2 locomotives in this shot, 1916 for the building and 1975 for the units. NAR 403+404+402 are southbound on the second half of a GSL Turn on Thursday 1979-09-27 with concentrate loads from Pine Point Mines at the far end of CN’s Great Slave Lake line which connects to the NAR at Roma Jct. about ten miles behind the train. The three units, typical for a GSL Turn will soon be wide open climbing to Judah, another seven miles, to reach level prairie again.
