What can be more bucolic than a diminutive train passing a small farm in essa township, as the Barrie-Collingwood Railway traverses the former CNR Meaford subdivision with a single car in tow.

  1. Stephen, as usual, a wonderful picture ! Bucolic, for sure, and love the blue tractor parked in the barn yard. With all the pictures posted showing 100 plus car freight trains, we tend to forget a one car freight is just as much a freight train as their very lengthy brethren. To me, this picture captures the essence of BCR, and unlike the neighbouring short line to Orangeville, am hoping City of Barrie council will ensure it will be operating well into the future. Thanks for posting, John

  2. Thanks eh!
