A pair of light engines pause alongside the old Burlington West station waiting for the approaching movement to crossover to the north track and likely onto the Halton Sub. Crews are seen onsite at the station taking care of some work, potentially prepping for future use. Estimated date of late summer 2004, as the station would be up and rolling in May 2005. Today the station sits just a bit further west along Fairview Street and is well preserved by the Friends of Freeman Station.

  1. Crazy how much has changed here. Bruce do you remember when CP stopped sending locals on the Oakville sub?

Also I just realized there was a small 2 track yard just east of here (by the Burlington GO station) that was taken out during the triple track project. The Drury Lane bridge had 4 tracks going under it as late as 2005, but one was removed when the yard was removed.

  2. Steve; I remember that there was the south service track and the north service track . Also there was like a yard lead off the Beach Sub that was next to the south service track. I have lived here all my life and I have probably forgotten about stuff. I will check for any pictures and send them to Jacob.
