Caption: Back when Wolverton was just a siding.. and Before the DM&E Era on CP (began in 2007) most SD40-2's that weren't CP painted were from leasing companies, except if you got really lucky and got a SOO SD40-2 (Or stl&h). I didn't get many, but here's a trio of SD40-2's on an intermodal with a SOO SD trailing in late 2015 on my way home from a fritful morning at Paris that just did not let up. At Paris, we got NS 327 with a Warbonnet leading (rare then and still rare today), along with another Warbonnet and repainted ATSF leader mid train on the next two CN freights (Most trains had something foreign this day!). Then this one of a kind consist with a DWP Straight SD40 rolled through in great light which was good enough for me to just go home.. but i'd be stopped by the train pictured above at Wolverton. Rats. Those were golden days as the GE takeover had only just begun so only about 1 in 4 trains had a GE leader.
