A rare opportunity to take a look at the Control Stand of an old GMD-1 built-in London Ontario. This particular unit spent its entire life within the CN roster until its retirement in early 2021 when it was then donated to the Waterloo Central Railway.

  1. Very nice. Given that the WCR has pained all their ex-CP equipment in the Tuscan and Grey CP style livery will a similar fate lie ahead for the 1907/1437 or is that still under discussion?

  2. We are in the process of repainting it. The scheme is yet to be announced to the public.

  3. I like how you can see “1607″ under “1437″ on the cab wall. That’s a neat little piece of history!

  4. Why don’t you just come out and say it they’re painting it green and gold just like every other historical outfit does when they are given donations……despite the fact it looked fine the way it was
