Today, the CN train interchanging with the New England Central at St. Albans, Vermont runs with CN power (or whatever is around Taschereau Yard). But for a few years after the Central Vermont was sold, CN provided the crews and NECR provided the power for the Montreal-St. Albans turn. Here we see NECR 6526 (former CSX/B&O GP40), 9530 and 9539 (former IC/GM&O GP38s) leading the train through St-Lambert on a warm August evening. 1. Very cool! NECR power had stopped running to Montreal by the time I started taking train photos in 2005.

  2. Always liked that paint scheme!

  3. This is wild….
