In an image that could also be in the 1980’s, here an empty grain train with a lone multi mark SD40 with almost a full train of Canadian built cylindrical hoppers round the curve at a location I had on the slide as Guiler. Looking now on google maps I can not find the location but it was along the mainline along the Trans Canada highway.

    the 5988 still soldiers on with CP today, the hoppers? who knows. Hopefully they haven’t reached the AAR 50 year limit :D
