Westward from Cranbrook, CP had a wayfreight to Creston, typically with a single GP9 for power. Here it is on Saturday 1974-09-28 on its homeward journey with 8494 and a sizeable train at the station name sign for McConnel, 12 miles east of Creston and 55 miles to go, with Mount Thompson standing firmly on guard on the left.
