One of the afternoon regulars. The Triple Crown roadrailer was always a neat catch and typically had a SD40/C424 control cab set as the train didn’t require two powered units but lacked a turning facility in Detroit. Eventually in the last years of this trains operations over CP these sets were retired and at that point two regular units were needed. Here the train is seen coming out of the dip at Hornby on a nice spring day.
