After nearly 15 years of faithful photography, my old Nikon D40x had so many ailments it was time to replace it. I ordered a D5600 in November, and nearly four months later it finally arrived. By no means a top of the line camera, it's good enough for my needs, and a vast improvement over the D40x. It's been a struggle to become acquainted with the new camera, but after a month of trial and error, I'm finally getting some decent results.

With CN's Dash-8 fleet getting sold off / scrapped / stored, the early Dash-9s with the "Canadian" cab are the next best thing. That being said, it was worth hanging around after work the get CN's first Dash-9 leading 435 in perfect light. Thankfully CN 2500 is one of the units that had the cab repainted; other units in this order have turned very pink. It's hard to believe that even these units are 18 years old this year. Thanks again for the heads up Jazzy.
