Repainted around Spring 1990 in the new non-multimark livery, CP M636 4717 still looks fresh a few months later on this gloomy December day as she leads sister 4724 and C424 4217 on an acid train, departing the south end of CP's Kinnear Yard about to head down the Hamilton Sub. The "Big M's" were in their final years of operation, and would be officially retired in 1993, but some brought back in 1994-95 for a short time due to power shortages.Reg Button photo, Dan Dell'Unto collection slide. For an even fresher view if CP 4717, see this Earl Minnis photo from when she was new in 1970.
