August the 1st, beginning of a new crop year...and both CN and CP are moving grain empties west for reloading. In the foreground, a pair of SD40s (5168 and 5172) have a colourful consist of government-owned cover hoppers in tow as they approach West Tower where CN's Rivers and Gladstone subs cross the CP Carberry sub 0.8 miles to the west.
