Number 2 eases over the switch points for the crossover from Track 1 to Track 2 after uncoupling from its train - which is visible by the Rotary Village Station in the background - on its way to the turntable to be spun around. Then it will run around the coahes and hook up to wait for the next run. Also visible in this shot are the saddle tank for Number 1 sitting forlornly in the grass on the right hand side waiting for the day it will once again be mounted over the boiler and filled with water to make its own runs up and down the line. Number 1 has a couple of cracks in the boiler that need to be repaired before it can be steamed up, and also is in need of an air puimp (under construction at present) and conversion from coal to oil-firing for safety and economic reasons among others. We're hoping to get her at least close to completion next year, if given the go-ahead by the town.
