I have to admit when I first heard CN was picking up a bunch of former CREX units I was kind of excited. That was until I realized they were going to become the Dash8 killers. A bit of GEVO overkill on the rails today but it is what it is and you have to make the best of it. Unfortunately some trains like CN 570 keep the same pair of units for weeks on end, kind of reminds me of many of the trains on CP, LOL! Nevertheless this spot at Tansley has always been a favourite of mine, so on my way home this day the timing worked out. It is definitely apparent that autumn isn’t far away as seen here as 570 rolls through the frame.

  1. 570 was my old reliable job when I was a hogger in the freight pool before I retired. Back then it operated out of Mac yard and would run wherever the company wanted it to go. I miss those days

  2. I miss when it had a nice mix of Dash8’s on it
