RS23 506 was the main power for the short lived “Guelph Junction Express “ it even wore a Sleman logo for a period as it was a major sponsor. The recession of the mid to late 2000’s found the RS23’s operating most trains as they were less fuel hungry then the larger RS18’s, and if one RS23 was enough power for the train to Guelph, a solo unit would only be used. Here 506 grabs a tank car from the wood treatment building at Goodfellow lumber. Today this no longer happens as the track is long out of service and covered by a gravel access road.
