Former CN plow 55698 wears the faded colours of the Salem & Hillsborough Railway shortly after the railway ceased operations. After excursions ended most of the track was removed and the site became the New Brunswick Railway Museum. In recent years most of the equipment that had been painted in SH colours has been repainted into the paint schemes of their original owners. This included 55698 and she now wears brown paint with CN lettering.

  1. I have a photo of a CN double ended plow in orange paint that I snapped in Moncton, NB in August of 1979. It had been shopped in November 1966 (AK. 11.66.) and received the CN Orange No.12 paint (Work Equipment orange). I’ll see if I can make the photo presentable enough for everyone to see.

Keep those Work Equipment photos coming! :-)

  2. Paul O’Shell I would love seeing it or any other photos you have from Moncton.

  3. Jeremy, I sent a message to the moderators via the RP contact form to pass along my personal email address to you. Contact me and I will gladly share some of my Moncton & CN Atlantic Region photos with you. Paul

  4. Glad we got our email addresses sorted out. :-)
