Finally a photo worthy H24. I have to say this is the first time I have caught it with a six axle unit. This I’m sure only happened as they did not work Streetsville. Long hood forward SD60-3 6309 made its way to Hornby this morning and then is seen following train 134 to Toronto at a limited speed thanks to the lack of an end of train device.

  1. A clean standard cab going the correct direction on a sunny day? I hope grabbing a lottery ticket was your next stop.

  2. Yes 6309 has been docked here at Lambton and there has been discussion for it’s use of it. Normally H14 has a GP38-2 and an ECO GP20. But as of late two GP38-2′s as apparently the crews like them better. So I was wondering about this unit. Nice catch Marcus

  3. Sorry H24. Lovely unit with the Beaver scheme.

  4. I would imagine the use of this unit on H24 is a bit restricted as I can’t imagine it is allowed on any of the branches and spurs they serve.

  5. It seems that’s the unit they are using for H24 or H14. Right now I saw the unit reverse here at Lambton and there’s a lone GP38-2 3708 sitting in front of the office. I’ll hop out and see what’s happening.
