TH&B 26, an International hi-rail boom truck sits next to the Aberdeen yard tool house inside the gate just off Studholme Rd. A nice versatile maintenance vehicle with hi-rail gear, extra crew compartment, squirt-stick hydraulic boom & outriggers, and dump box.

  1. I think I have might have seen this truck in my travels past Aberdeen Yard. I am enjoying your knowledge on what keeps the railroad running.

  2. Thanks Bruce. I’m glad to pass on not only my old photos, but some of my knowledge gleaned from 47 years in the railway industry. :-)

  3. The first Signal Gang I worked on had the same type truck but with a folding hydraulic boom and minus the hyrail gear. The Junior guys all got to ride on the foam covered bench seat in the rider cab, a not so comfortable ride.
