The goal today was to photograph at least one CPKC train on day1. It seemed fitting to find a brand new spot today as well, unfortunately in this area that’s a pretty hard task considering I’ve probably photographed almost every mile of this section of the Galt subdivision. Ever since Tremaine road was relocated and grade separation added I always wondered what the eastbound shot off the hill would look like. Unfortunately between the new fences and small trees added by the city the shot didn’t totally live up to my expectations but nevertheless a nice change of pace. Expecting this train to be 134, it was a surprise to see 234 with a solo GE show up. It appears lately when it does actually make it past Wolverton it also has mixed freight added ahead of the usual auto racks. The Niagara Escarpment can be seen in the background.
