In less than a year, CN 2035 would be acquired by RailTex for their new Cape Breton & Central Nova Scotia Railway (CBNS) operation. Then shortly after in winter 1994, the C-630 would find itself back rolling over a portion of the Guelph Subdivision at Stratford as it attempted to assist fellow RailTex company the Goderich-Exeter Railway during a motive power crunch.
