After a hard steady climb the tail end of CP Extra 5826 East has made its way through the Spiral Tunnels and is cresting the Big Hill. Shortly after departure from Field I was able to photograph CP 5826 exiting a tunnel near Cathedral (West). http://www.railpictures.ca/?attachment_id=26734 Driving the Trans-Canada highway I was able to follow and photograph this train as it entered and exited the Spiral Tunnels and other locations on the hill. The bridge abutment on the left in the photo formed part of the original CPR right of way. My photo is taken at almost the same spot as one Steve Young posted from 1989. http://www.railpictures.ca/?attachment_id=22854
