Quite often the same group of locomotive models (GP 38s and SW 1500s) were seen on the daily transfer from Buffalo to Fort Erie and return, but the pool must have consisted of perhaps a dozen units so at least the combination of locos remained interesting. On this early spring day Conrail 7935, 9572 and 7936 provide the power. Traffic is dropped and then, with 7936 as leader; traffic for the USA would be picked up. This all was usually completed within the hour.

  1. When doing signal changes at Harbour Draw in 1984 I would often ride a transfer move across from Fort Erie. Prior to crossing into the US contact with the Operator (Bridgetender) Harbour Draw was required, they would notify US Border Patrol.
