On July 18, 2023, I was strolling quietly in Pointe-Saint-Charles after going to the observatory of the same name. Scanner on, heard CN 596 (local PSC Yard) crew had broken a switch on Butler track and couldn't get back to mainline. So they decided to leave the train on track PE26, which serves the Owen Illinois industry. Quickly, I notified one of my railfan friends who lives in the neighborhood and we ran to the well-hidden siding in a park. The team left in a CN pick-up and the train stayed there all night, which allowed us to take several beautiful shots.
