8055 with 8147 mid train is approaching the Highway 26 crossing just north of the former Midhurst station site. The site of the station is now just a patch of grass, but across the tracks a busy maintenance base remains. A portion of the former passing siding is used as an OCS spur. A huge pile of used ties covers most of the former back track.
