With the wheat having been taken off last week a slightly different perspective of CPKC Train #231-01 was possible as it rolled through Haycroft, Ontario on August 2, 2023 with 6 units on point. Mind you 5 of those are D.I.T. enroute for possible rebuild, but the entire consist is comprised of CP 8729, CP 8559, CP 8558, CP 8502, CP 8566, and CP 8567, with CP 9379 as the mid-train DPU. Seems like only yesterday that this would have been 6 SD40-2's up front, but I digress......
