I recall seeing that photo in on of the Trains magazine back in 1975 or 76. I framed the photo and caption at the time.
Yes Paul, the head-on photo of 4062 in flames appeared in the March 1976 edition of “Trains Magazine”

I see there was a rail changing crew working that portion of the subdivision at the time (tie plates and rail laid out).

Yes, that’s right Paul. I still have a few copies of the magazine. I remember going around to newsstands buying up copies so I could give them to friends and family members.

Well do I remember that photo in Trains. It was particularly effective for me, then an engine cleaner (wiper) at the CP roundhouse in Victoria, as a reminder of the importance of ensuring enginerooms were kept clean of flammable spills.
