Caption: CN 2517, a GE C44-9WL, takes charge of CN 148 as it heads past London Junction on August 6, 2023. SD70ACe 8102 was the original leader, however it faced PTC issues while the train was stateside. CN 3031 was added on later, and eventually the 2517 (not PTC equipped) was tacked on in Sarnia. This was a unique scenario, and seeing a Canadian cab leading 148 is certainly uncommon. The train is heading under one of the several signal gantries still standing in London, all original and still holding the vintage searchlight signals. I have always taken the opportunity to incorporate these artifacts into my shots when possible.
