  1. I’d love to hear an MLW run again!!

  2. Trillium or Ontario Southland Railway are your destinations. OSR is taking out 182 occasionally these days, it’s going out along with the SW1200′s.

Trillium you have a really good chance tuesdays and thursdays.

  3. RS18U #1859 is running a fair bit lately.
I heard its getting tired and when GP35 # 3502 gets fixed the 1859 may get relegated to standby duty !

  4. What’s wrong with 3502?

  5. Not sure its sitting at Phillips Rd awaiting LDS to fix.
Been sitting for 3 wks now! With Steel Car on strike I think there was no rush to fix it.
Lambton has repaired other units on site at the Phillips Rd shop area. With the strike settled the need for its service will come shortly.

  6. Is there more business coming for trenergy in st catharines related to nsc? I thought the coils were done. None seen at nsc lately

  7. Coils have been done for sometime now. Closer to the end of June I believe.

  8. There is another batch with NCLX reporting marks coming some time soon. They are NSC lease fleet cars.
A Trillium worker told me another 400.
    Time will tell!

  9. Gio is doing lots of track work and tie replacements all over their system so their positioning themselves to handle more business. Spotted inbound scrap gons for SLM at feeder. Scrap prices are very high right now so SLM is working all out to catch up. With Tier 4 compliance and 30 yr old monster locos there will be lots more being sold for scrap. Sad really ,these were built for only one purpose.

  10. Now that the NSC strike is settled let’s hope TRENERGY gets their new commitment for additional covers, don’t be too surprised if some or all are made at an alternate site in central Niagara, so keep your eyes open and scanners on for what could be very interesting railroading ahead.

  11. Not all that many places in Niagara with rail service and the people to do the work.
Trenergy would be the logical choice.
The weeds on Trillium and CN in Niagara are so out of control they may need metal detectors to find the rails to do much more track rehab.!
