Access to Semlin between Walhachin and Ashcroft was by a rough Barnes Lake Road, but well worthwhile for the views possible. Here, westbound coal loads symbol 803 with 5809 + 5800 on the headend plus mid-train remotes is lifting from the siding and passing milepost 39 after meeting an eastbound on Sunday 1980-06-08.
