Interesting power moves on CN as they've purchased 7 former UP GP38-N's (GP38-2's on CN) from Metro East Industries of East St. Louis, IL. These 7 came over the summer, and is seen here put together with a GTW and CN's 2020's acquisition from the GMTX Series. This piecemeal acquisition 'spree' along with the BNSF's have turned some heads as CN has not done this in quite some time for four axle units, if at all. This series, numbered right after GTW 4934 but as CN may continue to grow - who knows how many they will get? Note these were painted by MEI. This unit was replaced with BNSF 2090 today in Kitchener.
