  1. Compare this picture with Jim Gillard’s posted picture of a Barrie/Allandale Corridor GO train taken on the same bridge 58 years later, still an attractive site for picture taking of passenger trains, shows how the bridge has been upgraded

  2. That is either an express – baggage or post office – baggage car, a heavy weight, three axle trucks (must have rode really nice) marshaled behind FPA-4 6782. Damn nice livery! And on King’s highway #11 the vehicle: a 1958 ish Mercury.

  3. Good eye Steve. Zooming in on the scan it is a mail – express car.

  4. This is awesome John.

  5. sdfourty, enlarging the picture it looks like a mail-express car but am not sure if it was in RPO service in 1963, maybe bulk mail. First rode on #41 in 1955 to Washago, carried lots of mail & express, second ride in summer of ‘57 to Bracebridge, 3rd time in fall 1962 Huntsville to North Bay, and numerous trips on successor TEE’s. No. 41 always a fun train ride, John
