This short "passenger extra" was apparently a New York, Susquehanna and Western (NYS&W) passenger train that crossed into Canada from the US via the old MCRR/CASO bridge. The 7-car consist (complete with domes!) is seen here rolling through the curve at Brookfield on the approach to the Townline Tunnel, soon to dip under the Welland Canal. CP SD40-2 5420, one of CP's secondhand KCS units repainted in fresh "CP Rail System" paint, does the honors.
