70's street scenes: a TTC PCC streetcar (that appears to be 4353) is stopped at the lights as passengers get on and off, as viewed from the adjacent street corner. Pedestrians cross the street in front, and a mother and child wait to head into the corner confectionary store (Drink Coca-Cola!). On the other side of the street, cars wait to fuel up at the nearby Shell gas station. High rise buildings along the busy University Avenue thoroughfare can be seen poking up in the distance amid all the aerial TV antennas in the sky, including the new Simpsons Tower at Bay and Queen.

The corner store at Dundas and McCaul (photographed years earlier here), last home to a cafe, was demolished in 2021 when the block was cleared out for a new condo development (the Shell gas station site had been redeveloped many years earlier.

Original photographer unknown, Dan Dell'Unto collection slide.
