One of those places I miss a lots as far as railfanning goes. Not so much the scenery but just taking in the sights and sounds of a heavy train battling the Niagara Escarpment. The GEXR always put on a good show and had a predictable schedule. Today only passenger traffic runs through here in daylight unfortunately, with all freight traffic under the cover of darkness. This day “Ontario’s Tunnel Motor” leads a heavy 431 upgrade with the old steel road bridge in the background complete with a dad and two young railfans taking in the action.

  1. Nice. You definitely had a front row seat for that show.

  2. This was the place to go, and these were the days. Every single day we could go here and observe.
