  1. The only GMD-built GP7 ordered by Wabash, lone unit #453 among their Canadian-built SW and F-units. Later to N&W 3453.

    I’m not sure, I can’t find anything specific about why it was bought. There may have been a Canadian-based roadswitcher job that needed a unit, maybe someone knows the real reason. The F’s were used for through-freights, and the SW’s for switching.
