Caption: Bathed in the warm lights of the trainshed at Union Station, the early morning hours find the Upper Canada Railway Society's private car, Nova Scotia, on the tail end of a UCRS excursion, departing later that morning for Paris via Hamilton and Caledonia.
Originally constructed in 1896 for the Windsor & Annapolis Railway as parlour car, Sanspareil, the car would become Dominion Atlantic Railway business car, Nova Scotia, in 1912, and later to Canadian Pacific Superintendent's Car 7 in 1956. The car would be acquired by the Upper Canada Railway Society in 1963, assuming its Nova Scotia identity, until being sold to the London Middlesex Historical Society in 1969. Nova Scotia would be sold to the Ossawippi Express Diner near Orillia in 1970, before returning to Toronto in 2012, now preserved in the former CPR John Street roundhouse.

Very nice, John. The contrast of the warm lights and cool winter weather create a very nice effect. Is the UCRS drumhead still in existence?
