After mechanical trouble on CPKC 231, the power from the CWR train was dispatched to help it get up the grade to Guelph Junction. The pair of SD40-2's in CP 9017 (SD40-2F) and CP 6011 (SD40-2) hooked on to the front end and assisted the now successful trip up and the conductor of CPKC 231 is seen preparing to uncouple from them so they could continue westward. The power for CPKC 231 is CP 7027 (SD70ACu) and KCS 4657 (ES44AC). The CWR power would then continue westward and back on to the south track and reverse light power back to the east end of Guelph Junction and head south down the Hamilton sub to retrieve their train at Smithville. The CPKC 231 made it to Wolverton.
