Caption: It looks like AC 1753 is working the 'a/c' in this image taken about 10 miles south of Hawk Junction. A baggage car would have a good load of corn for the locals, as I found out when I arrived at the Hawk station. And there were a dozen people waiting for it. One doesn't think about the fact there is no corn grown in the area and a lot of people really enjoy this as a late summer treat. And by rail is the most practical way to ship it.
