Caption: CP Rail 380, the Toronto - Peterborough Budds are seen passing through West Toronto, taking the Galt Sub to the west side of the interlocking. After CN 987, the Toronto - Guelph commuter run clears, the Budds will be eastbound for Leaside and their regular routing. For about ten days in April 1973, this move was done on account of mudslides on the Belleville Sub Don branch near the Prince Edward Viaduct. On one occasion, there was an issue with the interlocking, and the Budds were required to use the Galt - Mactier connecting track, swinging east onto the North Toronto Sub at Osler.

I was working 2nd trick at CN West Toronto (behind the photographer and across Old Weston Road) during this timeframe. I wanted to try getting a photo of these moves but I couldn’t leave the station while on duty.
