There are some units that simply mean something more. The Tuscan and Red Heritage fleet usually tops the list, but 6644 is the pinnacle. D-Day is the most important day on the planet in the last 100 years. What that day was like for those who participated still staggers the imagination. So of all CP's military units, this one holds special significance with its iconic D-Day stripes.

2-231 was noticed leaving Montreal yesterday. Those trains can go north or west at the whim of the railroad, so you never know. Waking at "sunrise" and hoping for a cloudy day revealed a westbound at Guelph Junction. Could it have fallen back enough to be it arriving in some form of daylight...and where to get it?

I offer my best shot to date of 6644 leading an all GM lashup, which itself is pretty rare, passing under Dundas St. in Galt. It's nice when all the pieces fit together.
