This photo is something we wouldn’t see now. The “Don branch) is a rusting mess overgrown with weeds & cabooses are ancient history. Back in the day, when I would get on a caboose with a low car(s) immediately ahead of it, I would say “I’m in a room with a view”. One trip out of Toronto I had 40 empty flats ahead of the van, destined for Quebec Street for loading military equipment. That was decades ago now.

You can even see the embankment for the old Pottery Rd alignment. What a killer image, my god.
