Caption: Storming south at the aptly named Wooden Bridge Road, a doubleheaded excursion behind CNR 4-8-4s 6167 and 6218 are about to pass beneath the wooden bridge, returning to Toronto. This was the first of two trips operated by the Upper Canada Railway Society during the Sept. 26-27 weekend, marking the retirement of CNR 6167, and the excursion role being assumed by CNR 6218. Departing Toronto Union Station, and carrying over 900 passengers, the excursion operated via Beaverton to Scotia Junction, turning on the wye with the Algonquin Sub, and back south via Allandale. Sunday's trip operated Toronto - Dundas - Paris - Caledonia - Hamilton - Toronto with over 400 passengers.

This is great, John. The train snaking through the S-curve, billowing smoke climbing high, the fall colours juxtaposed with the black engines. All great.
