CN RS-18u 3152 passenger unit is seen here at the diesel terminal near Toronto Union Station in August of 1983, looking a bit worse for wear. Weed control was not a priority, apparently.

  1. Interesting photo Cameron. I wonder why this unit was coupled to CP power? I worked for CN for a short time before going to CP in 1973. They sometimes used passenger power from Spadina on an overnight Oshawa turn roadswitcher that ran from Mimico to Oshawa & back so the power could be in position for passenger service in the morning. On the night I worked the job we had an FPA4 & FB4and a Tempo unit. I rode in the Tempo unit. The Tempo units had dual cab controls & that made the cab seem quite small.
I wonder if the 3152 was headed for the scrapper at the time of this photo?
