Caption: CNR boxcab electric 9103, originally Canadian Northern 603, sits at the head of a commuter consist at Montreal's Central Station while one of a kind "visibility cab" switcher CNR 7700 handles terminal switching duties. Built in 1929 as the CNR's first diesel switcher locomotive, and powered with a 400hp Beardmore engine, CNR 7700 worked the Montreal area for a number of years, in addition to time at other terminals and on the Thousand Islands Railway. Renumbered to 77 in 1950, the unit would be donated to Exporail in 1968. Towering over the scene is the Sun Life Building, built in three phases from 1914 through 1933.
