On the property of the KVSR (Kettle Valley Steam Railroad) sits an old ALCO S-6. This unit was formerly employed by the Neptune Bulk Terminals as 803 and began its life way back in 1955 on the Southern Pacific. This model, of which 126 were produced between 1955 and late 1960 were mostly purchased by the SP. Less than 20 units remain, many of which are still active in various locations on the continent. The one here, however, has sat by the engine house for a number of years and is still awaiting eventual restoration.
