  1. This acid train going to the C&O at Sarnia? Also love the inclusion of the crossing gate – love the light mounting hardware and the white and black :)

  2. These acid trains, from Sudbury, were U.S. bound via Windsor. I don’t remember the destination.

  3. 937 was actually a manifest C&O train from Toronto to Windsor. We used to shaere power with the C&O early in its operation.
The acid trains came in 3 variants. There was a 36 car train destined River Rouge near the Ford Plant in Michigan given to N&W crew at Windsor, a 36 car train destined for Ahmherstburg given to ETR at Windsor, and a 54 car train desting for Courtwright near Sarnia given to C&O at CHatham. The Chatham one sometimes ran as a “Chatham Acid Turn” out of LOndon, returning with engines and van, or would run that way through to Windsor if any of: crews, power or vans were need in Windsor for a planned eastbound.
