A derailment on the OVR left the railroad power-short, so the decision was made to bring the 3856 to Hamilton’s SOR shop for repair and return to service. After more than a year and a half in Hamilton, the engine was restored to service and sent up to the OVR along with GEXR 3835 and 4096.
