How did this equipment get here? I see no signs of a right of way…

To the best of my limited knowledge, it is on the old right of way and the unit was trucked there. The original line served the mines and its population. The area is also loaded with old parked buses from the coast, why, I don’t know.

That unit spent a lot of years working for one of the big coal mines in southeastern Saskatchewan. Then it sat for years at the old “end of track” site on the CP in South Edmonton.
